Ingredients
- 1 Cabbage steamed - separated to leaves.
- 2 Tomatoes - grated.
- 1 dozen Oil.
- 1 Salt and pepper to taste.
- 1 dash Oil.
- 2 Onions - sliced to half circles.
- 3 Carrots - sliced to thin strips.
- 2 Bell peppers - sliced to thin strips.
- 2 Zucchini - without the peel
- sliced to thin stripes.
- 1/2 Cabbage - sliced to thin stripes.
- 1 Tamato - grated.
- 1/2 cup Rice - washed .
- 1 Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions
- The stuffing: Preheat a pan and add a dash of oil, when the oil is hot add the onions and fry for 5-7 min till transperant.
- Add the bell peppers and the carrots and keep frying for another 7 min.
- Add the Zucchini and mix for 2-3 min, then add the cabbage, salt ,pepper and mix.
- Cover the pan for 5-7 min, after add the tomato and rice and 1 cup hot water.
- Mix for 10 min and turn off the fire.
- The Golubzi: In the middle of every cabbage leaf put 1 tbs of generous amount stuffing.
- Fold the ends of the leaf inside and roll , repeat with all the leaves and keep the small leftovers leaves aside.
- Arrange: In a large pan put some of the leftover leaves on the bottom and add a dash of oil.
- Arange the stuffed cabbage and after every layer sprinkle the grated tomatoes.
- Cover the stuffed cabbage with the rest of the leaves and add salt and pepper.
- Add 2 cups of hot water and put on the stove, when the water are boiling lower the heat and cover the pan.
- Cook for one hour or till the cabbage leaves are very soft.
