Hazel's Super Meringue For Pies Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 egg whites
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
Instructions
- Put sugar, water, and cornstarch in saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, cook till thick.
- Let cold.
- Beat egg whites to a peak, and add in to mix.
- Spread on cooled pie filling around edge first, touching edge crust all around, then fill in center.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 min or possibly till lightly brown.
