Grilled Stuffed Onions

Ingredients

  • 6 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon
  • finely chopped
  • 6 small onions

Instructions

  1. Cook and stir bacon in medium skillet on medium heat until crisp.
  2. Meanwhile, cut thin slice off top of each onion; discard top.
  3. Use small spoon to scoop out centers of onions, leaving 1/2-inch-thick shells.
  4. Finely chop removed onions.
  5. Remove bacon from skillet with slotted spoon, reserving 1 Tbsp.
  6. drippings in skillet.
  7. Drain bacon on paper towels.
  8. Add 1/2 cup chopped onions to drippings in skillet.
  9. (Reserve any remaining chopped onions for another use.)
  10. Cook 5 min.
  11. or until onions are crisp-tender.
  12. Add chiles and garlic; cook 2 min.
  13. Stir in bacon.
  14. Heat grill to medium heat.
  15. Mix cream cheese, shredded cheese and thyme in medium bowl; stir in bacon mixture.
  16. Spoon into onion shells.
  17. Place 1 on each of 6 large sheets heavy-duty foil; drizzle with dressing.
  18. Wrap foil tightly around onions, leaving room for heat circulation inside.
  19. Grill 25 min.
  20. or until onions are tender.
