Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 to 1 c. shortening
- Water
Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Add in shortening.
- Add in water a little at a time till doughy consistency.
- Make dough balls desired size, then roll out flat into circles on floured board.
- Preheat cast iron frying pan.
- Cook tortillas in it one at a time till lightly browned.
- In some spots bubbles appear.
- Wrap in cloth towel and store in a plastic bag.
