Grandma's Scalloped Ham Dish Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 thin slices smoked ham
  • 6 c. pared
  • sliced potatoes
  • 2 c. scraped
  • sliced carrots
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. flour
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown ham slightly on both sides in skillet.
  2. Remove and cut into serving size pcs.
  3. Combine flour with fat in skillet and add in soup.
  4. Then gradually stir in lowfat milk and heat to boiling point, STIRRING constantly.
  5. In a large bowl (casserole) arrange layers of ham, potato, carrots and onion.
  6. Sprinkle vegetables lightly with salt and pepper.
  7. Pour warm soup/lowfat milk mix over this.
  8. Cover and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  9. Then uncover and bake 30 min longer.
  10. Serves 6.
