Grandma Franny's Best Fruit Compote Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/4 c. golden brown raisins
- 1 pound dry fruit (prunes
- pineapple
- papaya
- pears
- peaches
- etc.)
- 1 c. dry white wine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 cinnamon stick
- Juice and rind of 1 lemon
- 1 c. water
Instructions
- Combine the raisins, dry fruit, 1 c. wine and 1 c. water in a baking dish.
- Soak for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Stir in sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and rind.
- Cover and bake for 1 hour.
