Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. rolled oats
- 1/4 c. finely minced nuts
Instructions
- Cream shortening and sugars.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Stir together flour, salt, baking soda, oats and nuts.
- Add in to creamed mix.
- Blend.
- Shape dough into 2 inch rolls, like Pillsbury cookie dough at the grocery store, on waxed paper.
- Roll up and twist ends.
- Refrigeratetill hard, or possibly freeze for later use.
- When ready to bake, cut into 3/4 inch slices.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 min.
