Ingredients
- 1 can oysters
- 1 c. crushed saltines
- 1/2 c. dry cubed bread
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 tbsp. lowfat milk
- Oyster liquid reserved from can
- Salt & pepper as desired
Instructions
- Mix bread and crushed saltines.
- Stir in butter.
- Put thin layer of mix in bottom of buttered baking dish.
- Cover with oysters and sprinkle with salt and pepper as desired.
- Add in 1/2 oyster liquid and 1 Tbsp.
- lowfat milk.
- Repeat a layer of bread and saltine mix.
- Cover with remaining oysters, liquids and crumbs.
- (Works best with no more than 2 layers of oysters.)
- Bake for 30 min at 450 degrees.
