Garlic Sauteed Baby Artichokes

Ingredients

  • 4 Baby artichokes
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 dash Salt and pepper
  • 3 clove Garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 White wine
  • 1/2 Lemon

Instructions

  1. Cut the stems and tops off the artichokes, and remove several outer leaves.
  2. Cut the sharp tips off the remaining leaves with scissors.
  3. Rub a lemon on the cut parts of the artichokes.
  4. This prevents discoloring.
  5. Bring plenty of water to a boil.
  6. Add the artichokes to the boiling water, hold them down to the bottom of the pan with a small lid, and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Cut the cooked artichokes into quarters.
  8. Put the olive oil, salt and pepper, and garlic in a frying pan with the artichokes, and saute for 10 to 15 minutes, taking care not to let them burn.
