Ingredients
- 2 slices Italian bread
- sliced on a diagonal
- 2 slices medium cheddar
- 3 leaves fresh basil
- rinsed
- 1 fresh garlic clove
- pressed
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 1 pinch salt
- black pepper
Instructions
- Spread a very small amount of pressed garlic on one side of the bread.
- Layer the cheese and basil on top of the garlic and between the slices of bread.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread butter on the outer sides of the sandwich and place face down in a frying pan.
- Toast the sandwich over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
- Turn heat to low and cover pan until the cheese is fully melted.
- Serve!
