- 3 rice bowls worth Plain cooked rice", "2 packs Bonito flakes", "1 tbsp Soy sauce", "1 tbsp Shiro-dashi", "1 Easy melting cheese
Instructions
- Add soy sauce and shiro-dashi to the bonito flakes and mix.
- Add flavored bonito flakes to the white rice, and blend evenly with a rice paddle.
- Pack rice into triangles.
- Shape into desired sizes (I made 5 rice balls).
- Place rice balls on an oiled aluminum foil.
- Sprinkle easy melting cheese on top, taking care not to spill, and pop them in a toaster oven.
- Once the cheese has browned to a golden finish, they're ready to serve.
- The addition of cheese fortifies the rice with more calcium.
- Try packing the centers with cheese or salmon.
