Ingredients
- Fresh bread crumbs (about 1 pkg.
- add in sage if needed)
- Minced onion
- Minced apple
- Minced celery
- Minced carrots (optional)
- 2+ bouillon cubes
- dissolved in water
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sage
- if needed
Instructions
- In skillet, saute/fry onions, apple, celery and carrots in a stick of butter, till brown.
- Add in to bread crumbs.
- Add in bouillon cubes dissolved in water.
- Mix crumbs till moist.
- Bake in turkey or possibly a buttered casserole.
- Turkey should be covered with a sheet of buttered cheese cloth.
- Great for making brown gravy.
- Soak cloth in a little water and add in to drippings of turkey.
- Add in a mix of water and flour to thicken gravy.
- If you have the giblets, cook in a small amount of water and skim off scum.
- The water from the giblets can be used in gravy also.
