Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 12 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 13 cup sugar
- 1 14 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
- 1 12 tablespoons turbinado sugar
- for sprinkling on top
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- In a medium bowl, beat the eggs, vanilla, and granulated sugar together until smooth and thick--about 1 minute.
- In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients.
- Add them to the egg mixture and stir well until combined.
- Stir in the pie filling.
- Pour the mixture into a well-greased, nine-inch deep dish pan.
- Sprinkle the turbinado sugar on top and bake for 20 minutes or until browned and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
