Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (1-1/8 lb.) German chocolate cake mix
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • softened
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • divided
  • 1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts
  • chopped
  • 1 pkg. (14 oz.) caramels

Instructions

  1. Mix together cake mix, margarine and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk.
  2. Put half of mixture in greased 9x13-inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350F for 6 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with chips and nuts.
  5. Melt caramels with other 1/3 cup milk.
  6. Drizzle caramel over mixture in pan.
  7. Crumble remaining chocolate mixture over top and bake for 20 minutes more.
