Ingredients
- 2 12 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 14 cup sugar
- 12 cup dates
- chopped
- 12 cup nuts
- chopped
- 1 egg
- beaten
- 1 14 cups milk
- 12 cup molasses
- 4 tablespoons melted shortening
- 1 cup slightly crushed corn flakes
Instructions
- Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Stir in dates and nuts.
- Mix egg, milk, molasses and slightly cooled shortening.
- Add to dry ingredients.
- Stir only enouhg to dampen flour.
- Fold in flakes, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour into wellpgreased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan, and bake one hour at 350F-375F.
