Ingredients

  • 4 cups popped corn
  • fresh and lightly salted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 12 cup butter or 12 cup margarine
  • 12 cup light corn syrup
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Put popcorn in shallow roasting pan (large pan).
  2. In heavy saucepan mix sugar, butter and corn syrup.
  3. Stir over medium heat until boiling.
  4. Continue boiling 5 minute without stirring.
  5. Remove from heat; add vanilla and baking soda.
  6. Pour over popcorn; stir to coat well.
  7. Bake in preheated 250 degree oven for 1 hour stirring several times.
  8. Cool, break apart and store in tightly covered container.
  9. (Cool on waxed paper so it won't stick to pan).
