Cornbeef in carrot and onion gravy

Ingredients

  • 5 lb cornbeef brisket
  • 5 cup sweet onion
  • 1 lb baby carrots
  • 1 tbsp meat tenderizer
  • 1 tbsp granulated garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Mix the cornstarch and water set it aside.
  2. Heat a big pan add oil when hot add the brisket
  3. Add onions and carrots.
  4. Add half the spices.
  5. When the brisket is browned turn it over let cook covered 10 minutes.
  6. Take the brisket out and slice it return back to pan.
  7. Let cook covered 3 minutes stir cornstarch solution and add to pan stirring constantly till it thickens.
  8. Let sit 10 minutes covered serve hope you enjoy!
