Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) water
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) coffee-flavored liqueur

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring sugar and water to a rapid boil over medium heat.
  2. Boil until sugar is dissolved, 5 to 8 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in liqueur.
  4. Use warm or let cool.
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

  7. For a nutty taste, substitute almond-flavored liqueur for the coffee-flavored liqueur.
