Ingredients

  • 400 grams Cod
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 Carrot
  • 150 ml Soy sauce
  • 120 ml Vinegar
  • 4 tbsp Light brown sugar (caster sugar)
  • 200 ml Water
  • 1 Red chili pepper
  • 1 Plain flour
  • 1 Frying oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Thinly slice the onion along the grain.
  3. Julienne the carrot.
  4. Remove the seeds from the chili peppers and slice into thin rounds.
  5. Mix the seasoning ingredients in a bowl with the water.
  6. Add the chili pepper, onions, and carrot.
  7. Dust the fish with flour and deep fry.
  8. While it's still hot, put it in the marinade from Step 2.
  9. Let the flavors mingle for 10 -15 minutes, and it's ready.
