Ingredients
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1/2 lb elbow macaroni pasta
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 freshly ground black pepper
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
Instructions
- heat the milk in a saucepan.
- stir in the macaroni.let it boil.
- pay attention while the macaroni is cooking in the milk as the milk may foam up.
- boil over if the milk gets too hot.
- cook for 15 min.
- should absorb almost all milk
- preheat oven to 400F, melt the butter in a seperate saucepan stir in the cheese, black pepper and pinch of nutmeg
- place the macaroni and cheese mixture into a baking dish bake in 400F oven until the top is ligtly browned
