Cinnamon granola recipe

Ingredients

  • 300 g (10.6oz) oats
  • 50 g (1.8oz) chopped hazelnuts
  • 50 g (1.8oz) flaked almonds
  • 4 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 50 g (1.8oz) sunflower seeds
  • 100 g (3.5oz) brazil nuts
  • 100 g (3.5oz) dried cherries
  • apples
  • pineapple or apricots
  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 100 ml (3.5fl oz) maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 150c/gas 2.
  2. Put all the dry ingredients, except the cherries and coconut, into a big bowl and mix well.
  3. Heat the oil, maple syrup and honey very gently in a non-stick pan and then pour over the dry ingredients.
  4. Spread out onto two baking trays and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven, stir in the coconut and cherries, and bake for further 20 minutes.
  6. Stir it now and again so that it crisps up all over.
  7. Serve.
