Ingredients
- 3/4 cups Warm Water (110 F)
- 2- 1/4 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/4 cups Salsa
- 1- 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
- Shredded
- 1- 1/2 cup Shredded
- Cooked Chicken
- 1 cup Canned Black Beans
- Drained And Rinsed
- 1/2 whole Red Onion
- Sliced
Instructions
- Place water in a mixing bowl; sprinkle with yeast.
- Let stand until foamy (5 minutes).
- Spray another medium-sized bowl with cooking spray and set aside.
- In the bowl with the yeast, whisk sugar, oil, and salt.
- Add half of the flour and mix.
- Switch to a dough hook.
- Slowly add the remainder of the flour until a sticky dough forms.
- Continue to knead in the mixer for about 5 minutes.
- Transfer dough to the oiled bowl and turn to coat.
- Cover with a towel and allow to rise in a warm place until it doubles in size (about an hour).
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface and roll out to desired thickness.
- Transfer to a pizza pan and prick the surface all over gently with a fork.
- Bake in the oven for about 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and spread salsa evenly over the surface.
- Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella, all of the chicken, beans, and onions.
- Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella.
- Transfer the pizza to the oven and bake for approximately 10 minutes or until crust is gold brown and cooked all the way through.
- Remove pizza from the oven, cut into slices.
- If desired, top with pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream.
