Ingredients
- 1 14 cups whole grain flour
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 30 g butter
- 2 -4 tablespoons gomashio (use more if you really want to taste the sesame in the scones)
- 14-12 cup milk
- grated cheese
- for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 220C/425F.
- In a bowl combine flour, gomashio and baking powder.
- Rub in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add liquid little by little until a soft, but not sticky dough forms.
- Pat out on a lightly floured surface and cut out scones of desired size ( I use a regular glass for cutting).
- Place on a papaer-lined baking sheet, top with grated cheese and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown and baked through.
