Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread (white
  • whole wheat or multi-grain)
  • crusts removed
  • 1 each: green pepper and medium onion
  • chopped
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • seeded and chopped Safeway 1 lb For $1.29 thru 02/09
  • 2 cups Cracker Barrel Cheddar Cheese
  • grated
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup Kraft Ranchers Choice Dressing

Instructions

  1. PLACE half of the bread on bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch (3 L) baking dish.
  2. Cover bread with half of the vegetables and cheese.
  3. Repeat layers again omitting cheese layer.
  4. Beat eggs in a bowl.
  5. Gradually blend in milk and dressing.
  6. Pour over vegetables.
  7. Let stand 3 hours or overnight.
  8. BAKE uncovered at 350F (180C) for 55 minutes.
  9. Place remaining cheese on top and bake 2 to 3 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
  10. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
