Ingredients
- 12 slices bread (white
- whole wheat or multi-grain)
- crusts removed
- 1 each: green pepper and medium onion
- chopped
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 medium tomatoes
- seeded and chopped Safeway 1 lb For $1.29 thru 02/09
- 2 cups Cracker Barrel Cheddar Cheese
- grated
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup Kraft Ranchers Choice Dressing
Instructions
- PLACE half of the bread on bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch (3 L) baking dish.
- Cover bread with half of the vegetables and cheese.
- Repeat layers again omitting cheese layer.
- Beat eggs in a bowl.
- Gradually blend in milk and dressing.
- Pour over vegetables.
- Let stand 3 hours or overnight.
- BAKE uncovered at 350F (180C) for 55 minutes.
- Place remaining cheese on top and bake 2 to 3 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
