Ingredients
- 1 pkt Frzn puff pastry
- thawed
- 2 Tbsp. Cornmeal
- plus cornmeal for baking sheets
- 1/2 lb Warm smoked link sausage
- sliced
- 1 can (small) sliced jalapenos
- liquid removed
Instructions
- Roll 1 pastry sheet into a 15 x 12 inch rectangle on a surface lightly sprinkled with cornmeal.
- Cut into 3 inch squares.
- Cut sausage into 1/4 inch slices, and cut each slice in half, crosswise.
- Place 1 piece of sausage and 1 jalapeno slice in center of each square.
- Fold corners to center, slightly overlapping edges.
- Place filled pastries, seam side down, on greased baking sheets sprinkled with cornmeal.
- Repeat procedure with remaining pastry, sausage, and jalapeno peppers.
- Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 12-15 min.
- Serve immediately.
- Yield: 40 appetizer servings.
- NOTES : Unbaked Cajun Warm Puffs may be frzn up to three months.
- Let thaw, and bake according to directions.
