Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 stick room tempature butter (unsalted)
- 5 tbsp water
- 1 **** enough flour to lightly flour surface
- 1 **** forum user said 1/3 lard could be used..
Instructions
- whisk together all dry ingredients...
- add stick of butter.. use pastry blender to incorporate butter and flour mixture ... should look crumbly..
- add water and mix with pastry blender until larger crumbs form.
- pour it out on floured surface and squeeze the dough into a ball.
- wrap in Saran wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes before rolling out.
- *** I asked on the forum if it could be frozen.
- the suggestion was made to put Saran wrap bundles in a ziplock freezer bag before freezing.
