Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c. lowfat sour cream
- 2/3 c. nuts
- optional
- 1/4 c. butter
- no substitutes
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 3 Tbsp. boiling water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add in vanilla and Large eggs.
- Sift together dry ingredients.
- Then add in alternately with lowfat sour cream.
- Add in nuts.
- Use 1/2 c. more flour if needed.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet.
- Bake 10 min at 350 degrees.
- Cold and frost.
- Brown Butter Icing:Brown butter; pour over sugar, then add in water and vanilla.
- Mix.
