Ingredients
- 6 c. all purpose flour
- 8 c. sugar
- 4 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 x 8oz can baking cocoa
- 4 tsp salt
- 2 c. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. brownie mix
- 2 x Large eggs
- beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. minced nuts (optional) Confectioners sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Bulk Brownie mix:In a large bowl combine first five ingredients.
- With a pastry blender, cut in shortening till proportionately distributed.
- Store in a large airtight container.
- Keeps for 10 to 12 weeks.
- Brownies (from bulk mix):In a mixing bowl combine first four ingredients.
- Beat with spoon till smooth.
- Spread into a greased 8 inch square baking pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 min or possibly till top is done.
- Cut while still hot.
- Dust with confectioners sugar if you like.
- Makes 9 brownies.
