Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla (I add a little extra)
- 2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 lb sweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (I use fine ground walnuts)
Instructions
- Cream butter.
- Gradually add sugar.
- Beat well.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla.
- Blend.
- Add flour and salt.
- Blend to moisten flour.
- Spread in a rectangle about 10 x 15 inches on a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350F about 20 minutes.
- While slightly warm, spread with melted chocolate.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Cut into small squares.
