Ingredients

  • 1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup dried figs (Calamyrna work nice)
  • quartered
  • 1 can (11 ounces) Mandarin oranges
  • drained
  • 1 cup diced fresh or frozen peaches
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 medium pear
  • cored
  • peeled
  • and chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup pitted
  • dark
  • sweet cherries
  • drained
  • 2 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1/2 tsp whole cloves
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup dark rum

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a glass jar.
  2. Place lid on jar and shake to blend.
  3. Shaking jar daily, store in refrigerator for 1 week before using or giving as a gift to allow flavors to blend.
  4. Serve over ice cream or cake.
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
