Ingredients
- 15 1/2 oz can of black beans
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- seasoned panko
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 1 large onion
- chopped
- 2 tbsp butter for frying
- 1/4 tsp granulated garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- extra virgin for frying
- 15 oz can of chickpeas
- 1/4 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 2 tsp spicy mustard
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- I used Monterey jack colby cheddar cheese
- 9 oz naan
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Drain the juices off the beans
- In a big bowl, add breadcrumbs, egg, salt and pepper, garam masala, chickpeas, garlic, onion and beans.
- Mix the beans, chickpeas, and ingredients well, and form into patties.
- mash everything well
- Heat oil and butter add the patties to oil pan fry, turning as needed.
- Cover in between turning.
- Cook till done.
- Add shredded cheese to top of patties cover remove from heat let cheese melt
- Add mustard and lettuce to naan, add pattie on top of lettuce.
