Black Eyed Pea Corn Bread Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 c. cornmeal
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 Large eggs
- lightly beaten
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. Wesson oil
- 1 med. onion
- minced
- 2 jalapeno peppers
- minced
- 3/4 c. liquid removed corn
- 1 pound browned warm sausage
- 1/2 pound grated cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Add in last 1 c. cooked black-eyed peas with jalapenos.
- Fold in order given.
- Cook at 350 degrees for 45 min.
