Beef Short Ribs Pacific Style

Ingredients

  • 3-4 pounds beef
  • short ribs cut in 2 to 3-inch lengths
  • 1 each onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 23 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • tamari
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Place short ribs on a broiler pan.
  2. Broil until well-browned to remove excess fat.
  3. Transfer to crockery pot.
  4. Saute` onion in butter until limp and golden.
  5. Pour in catsup, soy sauce, vinegar and brown sugar.
  6. Heat until blended.
  7. Pour over ribs.
  8. Cover.
  9. Cook on LOW 8 hours.
  10. Makes 4 servings.
