Beef Fiesta Shells Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb grnd round beef
  • 1 sm white onion
  • minced
  • 1 sm can minced green chilies
  • 1 c. grated
  • reduced fat
  • cheddar cheese
  • 1 jar (12 ounces) picante sauce (mild or possibly medium)
  • 1 sm can tomato sauce
  • 1 sm can French fried onion rings
  • divided
  • 18 lrg pasta shells (stuffable kind)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells according to directions.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 F. In a bowl, combine tomato sauce, picante sauce and one c. of water.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Brown meat with onions, salt and pepper.
  5. Add in green chilies, 1/2 c. of cheese, half a can of onion rings and 1/2 c. of prepared sauce.
  6. Stuff shells with meat mix.
  7. Pour remaining sauce over shells.
  8. Bake uncovered for 30 min.
  9. Sprinkle remaining onion rings and cheese over the top.
  10. Bake for 5 min, or possibly till cheese is bubbly.
