Ingredients
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 4 slices crisp cooked bacon
- crumbled
Instructions
- Heat oven to 450 degrees.
- Saute/fry bacon; drain and crumble.
- Cut shortening into flour, baking pwdr, baking soda, and salt till mix resembles fine crumbs.
- Stir in buttermilk and bacon.
- Knead lightly on floured surface.
- Roll 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut with biscuit cutter into 10 to 12 (2 inch) biscuits.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 10 to 12 min.
