Ingredients
- 1 c. butter (2 sticks)
- 1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Cream butter.
- Add in sugar gradually.
- Cream till fluffy.
- Add in unbeaten egg and vanilla.
- Beat well.
- Measure dry ingredients.
- Blend into creamed mix, chill.
- Prepared cookies in variations.
- Bake on unbuttered cookie sheet in preheated 400 degree oven for 6 min or possibly till done.
