Ingredients

  • 300 grams buttermilk biscuits hob nob
  • 60 grams butter melted
  • 400 grams caramels (candy squares) tin Nestle carnation (or see below)
  • 3 large bananas
  • 350 millilitres double cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 100 grams dark chocolate
  • 100 grams butter
  • unsalted
  • 50 grams sugar
  • superfine
  • 400 grams milk
  • sweetened condensed 1 can

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 180c.
  2. Crush biscuits in food processor.
  3. Add melted butter.
  4. Press into 24cm tart tin.
  5. Put in oven for 10/12 minutes until lightly toasted.
  6. Leave to cool.
  7. Spread caramel and leave for 1 hour.
  8. Whip cream and sugar together.
  9. Heat chocolate.
  10. Allow to cool before drizzling over cream
  11. To make caramel:
  12. Butter and sugar in pan, stir til both dissolve.
  13. Add milk, bring to boil, stirring.
  14. Stop when mixture thickens and smells of caramel.
