Ingredients
- 1 package 12 Inch Gourmet Pizza Crust
- 3 Tablespoons Basil Pesto (preferred Brand- Classico)
- 14 ounces
- fluid Jar Pizza Sauce (personal Preference On Amount Used)
- 2 whole Large Sweet Vidalia Onions
- Peeled
- Cut In Half
- And Thinly Sliced
- 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 8 ounces
- weight Bacon
- 1 pound Ground Sirloin
- 2 Tablespoons Gourmet Burger Seasoning (preferred Brand- Weber)
- 8 ounces
- weight Sharp White Cheddar Cheese
- Grated (I Prefer Cabot Cheese)
- 8 ounces
- weight Medium Cheddar Cheese
- Grated
- 1 whole Avocado
- Cut In Half
- Pitted
- Peeled
- Cut Into Slices
- 2 whole Roma Tomatoes
- Sliced
- 1 jar Sliced Banana Peppers (use As Many As You Desire)
Instructions
- Preheat a saute pan and heat up the olive oil.
- Add sliced onions and cook over medium heat until soft but not brown.
- Sprinkle with sugar and turn heat to low.
- Continue cooking until onions get a nice caramel coloring.
- Take off heat and set aside.
- Chop bacon and cook until crisp.
- Cool, crumble, and set aside.
- Mix the ground sirloin with the burger seasoning.
- Cook until meat is no longer pink.
- Take off heat and set aside.
- Grate both cheeses place in bowls seperately.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Line pizza pan with non-stick foil and place your crust on top.
- Spread pizza crust with basil pesto and then top with desired amount of pizza sauce, spreading evenly.
- Next top with the seasoned sirloin.
- Then the caramelized onions.
- Next the crumbled bacon.
- Top with the grated medium cheddar cheese- spreading evenly.
- And then do the same with the grated white cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes.
- (Time varies depending on your personal preference for crispness).
- Cool at least 5 minutes before slicing.
- Top with sliced avocado, Roma tomatoes, and banana peppers.
