Ingredients

  • 600g eye-fillet of beef
  • cut into 4 even-sized pieces Safeway 1 lb For $5.99 thru 02/09
  • 20g butter
  • 2 teaspoons KRAFT Bonox
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped thyme
  • 1 cup finely chopped button mushrooms
  • 1 packet (125g) chicken liver pate
  • 375g packet puff pastry

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in large pan; add beef; cook until browned all over.
  2. Remove from pan and cool.
  3. Add butter, Bonox and thyme to the same pan and cook the mushrooms until tender.
  4. Cool
  5. Spread the pate thickly and evenly over beef.
  6. Top with the mushroom mixture, pressing firmly to stick to pate.
  7. Wrap the pastry around individual fillets; press edges to seal and enclose.
  8. Place seam side down on a greased oven tray.
  9. Bake at 200 degrees C for 20-30 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
  10. Serve immediately.
