Aspargus Spears With Sesame Mayonaise Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Asparagus Spears
  • 2/3 c. Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil Grated Zest Of 1 Orange

Instructions

  1. Pour about 1 inch of water into a large frying pan and bring it to a boil over high heat.
  2. Meanwhile, cut off the tough bottom ends from the aspargus.
  3. Generously salt the water.
  4. Add in the aspargus, return the water to a boil and cook till the aspargus is just tender, about 3 min.
  5. Drain the aspargus and rinse under cool running water.
  6. Drain well and pat dry.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the mayonaise, soy sauce, sesame oil and grated orange zest.
  8. Blend well.
  9. Spoon the dipping sauce into a small bowl.
  10. Place the bowl in the middle of a round platter and fan the asparagus spears on the platter around it.
